Minister Carl Reeves of Eufaula, AL departed this life on June 8, 2020 at Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, AL after an extended illness. Minister Reeves was born to the late Julia Mae Jones Reeves and Reverend Willie (Shobe) Reeves.

He was a very active long-time member of New Birth Center Church of Eufaula, AL where he professed Jesus Christ as his savior and was spirit-filled. He faithfully served throughout the years in various roles and capacities from youth leader, prison ministry, street ministry, nursing home ministry, choir member, and finally serving as a praise and worship leader. He had a passion for music in general, but he especially loved Gospel. He was a musician with a gifted and anointed singing voice having recorded his own published music. For many years, he sang with local quartet groups: the Spiritual Five, Singing Angels, and Chosen Prophets. 

His legacy is his beloved and cherished family. A loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Mary Turner Reeves; Sons Clifton (Charlotte) Reeves of Selma, AL and Nicholas (Renitha) Reeves of Hopkinsville, KY; daughter Shaquisten Telia King of Clio, AL; daughter-in-love Telesha Ricks of Ft. Gaines, GA; and eleven grandchildren: Clifton, Chunston, Nakayla, Nycoreus, Jhaylin, Khloe, Christian, Kyndrell, Kelsee, Khaleah, and Kyndall.  His surviving siblings are sisters: Yvonne (Willie) Quarles and Sandra (Orlandrew) Morris of Eufaula, AL and brother: Willie Alfred (Vonda) Reeves of Ft. Mitchell, AL. Other surviving family include his father-in-law  Roger (Cora) Turner; brothers-in-law Robert Turner, Robbie (Sharon) Turner of Clayton, AL and Tommy (Nicole) Turner of Eufaula, AL; sisters-in-law Dorothy (Albert) Blackmon, Melissa Turner Bradfort of Eufaula, AL, and Barbara (Sila) Baldwin of Montgomery AL.  He had three sisters (Joyce Beaty, Mary Francis Benjamin, and Janie Deloach) that preceded him in death. He was loved by all who met him and leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends to lament his untimely passing.

Carl worked for 21 years at Westpoint Pepperell in Abbeville, AL. He lived his entire life in Barbour County, AL in Clayton and the Bakerhill Freemount community. He graduated Bakerhill School in 1981 where he excelled in basketball. He enjoyed home and spent many hours in his private home music studio. He now sings in the heavenly choir!
