Carl Ray Gibson, 75, long time resident of Taft, passed away January 5, 2018 at his home, surrounded by loving family and friends. Carl was born in Poteau, Oklahoma to Louie & Mary Agee Gibson on August 9, 1942. He moved to Arvin as a small child, settling in Taft as an adult and remained in the area until his death. He attended school in Arvin. He worked for Boyd’s Chevron as a student in High School and later at Taft Lumber Company for 29 years, retiring as Vice President. He enjoyed hunting, fishing shooting trap, as well as his frequent trips to the casino with Eddie.
Carl Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Louie & Mary Agee Gibson.
Carl Ray is survived by Eddie Peckham, Sons, Larry Wayne Gibson of Arkansas, Lester Ray Gibson and Daughter Lee Mary Gibson both of Taft. Grandchildren, Ramsey, Randi, Jessie Ray, Leo Terry Jr. Brothers, GradyLoyd and Leanord Edmond Gibson. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Carl is loved by family and friends and will be truly missed.
