Carl R. “Pete” Gottshall, 81, of Hanover Township, passed away in his home on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. He was the husband of the late Elaine Gottshall, with whom he shared over 58 years of loving marriage before she passed in 2012. Born in Bethlehem, Pete was the son of the late Paul and Ellen (Snyder) Gottshall. He worked for PP&L for many years as a lineman and a crew leader. He was a member of the North End Wanderers Club and of the Bethlehem YMCA, where he exercised regularly. He enjoyed attending high school sporting events and watching sports on TV. He also enjoyed taking long walks, but the most important thing in his life was his family. Survivors: daughter Diane Sprague and her husband Chris of Highland, IN; sons David Gottshall and his wife Regina, Daniel Gottshall and his wife Barbara, all of Allentown; grandchildren David, Taylor, Timothy and Stephanie. Pete was predeceased by a son, Darrin Gottshall, and by his brothers Paul, Raymond and Donald Gottshall.
