Carl Nathan Filson, 47, of Greenfield passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on January 6, 2015, at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 1, 1967, in Greenfield. Carl was a 1985 graduate of Greenfield-Central High School and attended Eden United Methodist Church. He was a maintenance supervisor at the federal courthouse in Indianapolis for 16 years and enjoyed music, the Colts, Pacers and IU sports. Carl was an outdoorsman who didn’t know a stranger and always had a joke for you.
He is survived by his parents Bruce A. and Cris (Estes) Filson of Greenfield; siblings: David A. (Kim) Filson, Gary R. Filson, Mark A. (Kelli) Filson and Karen (Mike) Tatom, all of Greenfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.
