Carl Lewis Wilson, 80
Carl Lewis Wilson, 80, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away December 19, 2022 at his home of Mullan. He was born May 16, 1942 in Custer, South Dakota; Carl was the son of Clark and Mabel (Gray) Wilson.
Carl proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He moved to the Silver Valley in 1978 from North Platte, Nebraska.
Carl had first owned and operated a gravel truck business. He then served as a driver for Consolidated Freightways for 28 years.
Carl was a member of the NRA and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He loved and enjoyed jeeping, collecting guns, pheasant and goose hunting, fishing, his beloved black lab dogs and wood-working. Carl was instrumental in trying to establish and preserve a wildlife crossing between Silverton and Osburn.
Carl is survived by 1 son Darin Wilson of Fairfield, Washington; his very special friend Susan O’Shea of Mullan; several nephews and many dear friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Wayne and Ben and 1 sister Mary Ellen.
