Carl L. Moore, 90, formerly of Bethlehem, died January 11, 2012 in Erie. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Nulton) Moore, who passed away in 2001. Born May 5, 1921 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Bernice M. (Hufford) Moore. Carl served in the US Army during WWII. He received his Bachelors degree in economics from Bucknell University in 1943, a Masters degree in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh in 1948 and was a Certified Public Accountant. He was a member of Christ Church UCC in Bethlehem. Carl was a Professor of Accounting at Lehigh University for 36 years retiring in 1986. He was the senior author for the seven editions of the textbook, Managerial Accounting and the junior author of the textbook, Financial Accounting. Carl also authored two trade books, Profitable Application of the Breakeven System and Profitable Application of Ratios. Survivors: Two sons, Carl N. Moore and his wife Barbara of Erie and Stephen E. Moore and his wife Roseanne of Oceanside, CA; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Rose Stevens and her husband Russell, Timothy Carl Moore and Andrew Eric Moore. Carl was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lindsay Ruth Moore.
