Carl Frederick Stowe was born in Washington, D.C., on June 16,1943, to loving parents, Ella Nora and James Stowe. He was the brother of Rudolph, James, Jr, and Jenny (“Rockie”). He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior early in life and was a lifelong member of Turner Memorial AME Church.
After retiring from active duty, Carl continued to serve his nation as a Management Analyst with the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, VA, until retiring for a second time on January 31, 2017.
On April 13, 1968, Carl married the love of his life and wife of fifty-six years, Roberta, at First Baptist Church in Northwest Washington, D.C.
Carl began playing basketball in high school and played throughout his life. He was also an enthusiastic fan of the Washington Redskins (Commanders) and enjoyed fishing with his father-in-law, Ralph Parker.
On December 3, 2023, Carl entered his eternal rest. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; his son, Carl, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Jamine; his granddaughter Britani and her mother, Michelle; older brother Rudolph; and a loving host of sisters- and brothers-in-law as well as nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who cherish his memory. He is predeceased by his parents Ella and James, his sister Rockie, and his brother James, Jr.
