Carl F. Ring, 89, of Virginia, IL and formerly of Ashland, IL died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
He was born December 30, 1920 in Bluffs, IL; the son of Carl and Eula Ring. He married Betty Seely and they later divorced.
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Hammack of Rushville; a son, Billy Ring of Petersburg; two grandchildren, Scott Anthony and Kevin Allen Schisler, both of Rushville; a brother, Harold Ring; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ginnie Ann Ring; two grandchildren, Lisa Marie Ring and Nikki Ring; a brother, Jess; and a sister, Marge.
Mr. Ring was employed over 20 years by Caterpillar in Peoria. He served with the US Army during WW II and was a member of the Greenview VFW Post.
