Survivors include his son, Carl (Jody) Dooley Jr.; daughters, Tonya M. Gates, Rita R. McKinney; stepson, Berto Dooley; sisters, Telitha Army, Queenlovelady, Alfa Mae Gregory; brother, Amos Dooley; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mae Helen Kimbrough, Glennis Arnold; brothers, Willie Allen Dooley, June Dooley; son, Velver Dooley, Jr.; granddaughter, Sajiedh Al-timimi.
Carl worked for Atlantis Plastic. He enjoyed fishing and walking.
