Carl David Calderwood, 83, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his home in Dunnellon, Florida.

After leaving the Marines, he worked for Associated Transport in Boston, MA, and later went to work for Owens Illinois in Newburyport, MA. He worked there for 20 years and left as a supervisor.  He then joined Proctor & Gamble in Andover, MA, and after 16 years he retired at the age of 62.

In his early years, Carl enjoyed skin diving and loved fishing from his boat the “Tiki II.” He also enjoyed going to Disney World almost every year for 20 or more years.  He liked Universal as well, and generally loved Florida.

Above all else, Carl loved God, his family, his country, and the Marine Corps. He cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He always attended the games and dance recitals his kids were in during their high school days.  He loved attending games and plays his grandchildren were in, as well as fixing little problems with cars to show them how to keep them going.  There was nothing that they would ask of him that he would not try to do. They loved him and he loved them back!

Carl will be sadly missed by his family and his friends.
