Apostle Carl Darnell Richardson of Jackson, born June 4, 1971 to James Robert Richardson and Henrietta Jones Richardson, made his earthly transition on Sunday, March 1, 2020 while at Mobile Infirmary. He was 48 years of age.

Carl was a graduate of Jackson High School in the Class of 1991, where he played basketball. Early in life he was a member of the Jackson AOH Church. He met and married the love of his life, Candice Pugh, and the couple was joined in holy matrimony on June 10, 1995. In 2007 they founded and organized the Faithful Temple Christian Church in Jackson, where he and his wife were the pastor and co-pastor. Carl received a Theology Degree from Liberty University. He loved sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

During his spare time, Carl enjoyed playing basketball and spending quality time with his family.

He was employed with Acosta Sales and Marketing, Footprint Retail Services.

Preceding him in death was his father; as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Carl leaves to forever cherish his loving memories his loving, devoted, caring and supportive wife, Candice Pugh Richardson of Jackson; five loving children, Quishae (Jerrel) Taylor and Martez Richardson, both of Nashville, Tenn., Rosie Richardson, Jalaya Richardson and Carlson Richardson, all of Jackson; his loving mother, Henrietta (Emmitt) Goodwin of Jackson; brother, Overseer James (Carol Lynn) Richardson Sr. of Jackson; three sisters, Sylvia (Willis) McCaster and Helen Coleman, both of Jackson, and Rhonda (Chris) Smith of Grove Hill; father-in-law, Sylvester Pugh Sr. of Winn; four sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law; with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and his beloved church family of Faithful Temple Christian Church.
