Carl Daniel Leggett, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan, GA surrounded by his family. He was born on July 9, 1934, in Miami, FL to the late Vernon Leggett and Mae Leggett.
Carl is survived by his wife, Bonnie Williams Leggett; children, Glenn Leggett, Gary Leggett and his wife Becky, Joy Leggett, and stepson, Toby Mann and his wife Jackie. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The service celebrating the life Carl lived is Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1504 Macedonia Road, in Newnan with Rev. Matthew Myers officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Carl served his country in the United States Air Force and will be laid to rest at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL where military honors will be rendered.
