Carl Cassulo, age 85, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on May 30, 2009, at Westwood Nursing Home.

 

Carl was born on July 19, 1923, in Syracuse, NY. He was the son of the late Lorenzo and Rose Cassulo, brother to Albert and the late Viola Cassulo.

 

Carl was a man of many talents. He worked as a tailor in New York City. His culinary and mixology skills were much appreciated by his family. Carl was a military man and served his country in the Army and in the Air Force as a photographer for 33 years. He served honorably in  World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam Conflict. Carl was a Bronze Star recipient and received various other medals and ribbons during his military career. His country and family were his life.

 

Carl was preceded in death by his son Christopher, granddaughter Dana Rose, and son-in-law David Redfield. Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Vincenzina; daughter Melanie (Michael); daughter Carlene Redfield and grandsons Damon, Desmond, and Devon; son Anthony (Michelle, fiancé) and grandson Carl Anthony (Brandy), great grandchildren Lily and Jacob; daughter Zina (Robert Henderson), grandson Stephen Schiff; son Andre (Linda), granddaughters Emily and Gina; and son Alex (Kimberly), granddaughters Alexi and Kayli.
