Carl W. “Bill” Newingham, 49, of Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his residence.
He was born November 25, 1962 in Taylorville, IL; the son of Gerald Mark and Kathleen Elizabeth Price Newingham. He married Julie Bates on July 3, 1996 in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Haley Newingham of Jacksonville; his adoptive mother, Joyce Kessinger of Murrayville; seven sisters, Vicki Cleer (husband, Mike) of Galesburg, Wanda Newingham of Peoria, Kathy Summers of Winchester, Lisa Wilkinson of Jacksonville, Beverly Cross (husband, Gerald) of Morrisonville, Barbara Miller of Taylorville, and Jane Sanders of Jacksonville; five brothers, Gerald Newingham (wife, Tracy) of Woodson, Jospeh Newingham (wife, Melissa) of Jacksonville, Gary Sanders of Murrayville, Steve Sanders (wife, Lisa) of Lynnville, and Paul Boyd of Jacksonville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a special friend, Glenn Coates of Winchester. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, and a great nephew.
Mr. Newingham worked for Moeller Enterprises for a number of years and more recently was a truck driver for Buster Sanitation during the past 15 years. An avid motorcyclist and mechanically inclined, he enjoyed riding Harleys and working on engines.
