Carl Allen Godsey, Sr., 64, of Salisbury passed away Monday June 25, 2012 at W. G. Hefner VA Medical Center.
He was born March 25, 1948 in Tazewell, VA , a son of the late Claude Allen and Myrtle Angles and Claude Allen Godsey.
He attended the schools of Tazewell County. He was a veteran of the US Army having served two tours in Viet-Nam. Carl was a backup singer and bass player for Merle Street.
Left to cherish his memories are one son: Carl Allen Godsey, Jr. and wife and two grandsons: Blake and Bryant Godsey both of Salisbury.
At Carl’s request he will be cremated. His ashes will be scattered in Virginia at a later date.
