Caridad Pablo Galang
Heaven gained another angel.  It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Caridad Galang, on January 6, 2021 at the age of 92.
Caridad was born in Manila, Philippines on September 6, 1928.  On November 4.1949, she married Segundino Galang (deceased) and had 7 children: Ursulita, Rolando (deceased), Renato, Susan, Angelito, Lalaine & Manuel.  She immigrated to the United States in 1984 to join her husband and two daughters.  Over the next 7 years, the rest of the children followed suit, except for Renato who had already settled in Australia.  As the years gone by the family grew larger and larger, but that didn’t stop the closeness.  Every weekend, holiday, and special occasion, the family gathered and that was when Caridad was at her happiest for she enjoyed watching the children play and grow.  Vacation trips to the Philippines with the entire family were extra special for her because that meant meeting up with Renato and his family.  For the entire trip she would say that her family is once again “buo” (whole).
She was a great mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend.  She made sacrifices to make sure her children grew up to become good people. Her only dream was for everyone in her life to be happy.  Her laughter and smile will be missed.
Caridad is survived by her sister, Angelita Pablo, sister-in-law Remedios Pablo, 6 children Ursulita Sakilayan, Renato Galang (Australia), Susan Ho, Angelito Galang, Lalaine Loyola, Manuel Galang and their spouses, 16 grandchildren Janice Petry, Jenefer Buan, Efrene Sakilayan, Christopher Galang, Joanne Haynes, Jeffrey Galang (Australia), Jackie Galang (Australia), Angelito Galang Jr, Maxine Galang, Louie Abergas (Philippines), Arcel Ho, Jacqueline Hathaway, Kacie Galang, Thomas Ho, Bethany Galang, Abigail Loyola and their spouses, 15 great-grandchildren and many number of friends she considered family.
