Camilo Peter del Cano, age 90, of Gainesville, VA passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on May 17, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Camilo and Remedios (Romero) del Cano. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired engineer for IBM and owner of del Rose Florist, Betty’s Better Chocolates, Pete’s Card Shop and Pete’s Big Dipper all in Manassas, VA. He was a member of the Park West Loins Club for over 40 years and was a past District Governor. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia del Cano. Survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth “Betty” del Cano; three children, Thomas del Cano, Susan del Cano and Jennifer Spring; three step-children, Dyana Stecker, John Piechnik and Terry Piechnik; one brother, Henry del Cano; one sister, Amparo Hand; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
