Calvin C. Waldrop, 88, Caballo resident passed away Tuesday December 22, 2015 at Sierra Health Care Center in Truth or Consequences.
Calvin was born March 17, 1927 in Winchell, Texas. He was married to Dorothy Weatherford for 69 years. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Waldrop and 2 sisters, Maurine Waldrop and Azalea McCain. He is survived by his four children, Jacki Smith, David Waldrop, Barbara Downs and Cindy Riley; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He drove a school bus for the T or C schools for more than 20 years, he is probably best known for driving bus #7. He was in the Air Force and served in the Philippines. His true love though was farming and ranching.
He was loved by many and will be missed.
