Calvin R. Bowling, 85, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born, October 26, 1924 in Sandusky, Indiana, he was the son of Nathan and Mary C. (Osborn) Bowling. He had worked at the Eckrich Co. for 18 years, the Indiana Gas and Water Co. for 6 years and he had worked for the Clark Swanson family in Naples, Fl. for several years. He graduated from Sandusky High School. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge, the Greensburg American Legion and the Naples VFW. He was a veteran of the Navy serving in the WW II.He was married to Phyllis J. Kincade on April 20, 1946 she survives.
He is also survived by one son, David R. Bowling, N. Carolina; three daughters, Linda L. Langford, Greensburg, Nancy J. (Stephen O.) Binkley, Greensburg, Dinah K. Hoge, Naples, Fl.; one sister, Jean Redelman, Greensburg; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Gloria Ann Holton; two brothers, Earl Lee and Paul Bowling; five sisters, Julia Harbin, Mary Murray, Donna Malone, Margaret Eden and Betty Hill.
