A resident of Corryton, TN, he recently relocated back to Carriere, MS to be with in Onconta, NY, he grew up in Bloomfield, NJ, where he met his wife of 60 years, Doris Van Hine.Calvin served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer, and served another 10 years in the Fleet Reserve. In retirement he enjoyed many hobbies: aviation, photography, farming, automobiles, and was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan (Adrian) Mitchell; his parents, Myron J.. to cherish his memories are his wife Doris E. Cooter; his daughter Joy (James) Fortenberry; his son Daniel Scott Cooter; his grandchildren Adam (Crystal) Mitchell, Brandi (Jacob) McKinley, and Erin Fortenberry; and his great grandchildren Aden Mitchell, Cayne and Cody McKinley, and MaKenzie and Lynden Brayson..
