Calvin was born May 27, 1971, in Courtland, AL to the late William Orr and Mary Watkins Orr. He departed this life on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at his residence.
He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and was baptized and joined Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church where he was a faithful member.
Calvin attended Lawrence County Schools. After school, he worked several jobs that he enjoyed and he was a very hard worker.
“Wayne”, as he was called by family and friends, was a quiet, compassionate and kind person to everyone who came in contact with him. He will truly be missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Orr; grandparents, Johnny Orr and Mattie Orr and John Watkins, Sr. and Dora Watkins; a nephew, Ladarius Shackelford; two uncles, Robert Watkins and Ray Watkins.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Sheree Orr; son, Kenyon Orr; a very devoted sister, Jackie Downing (Randy); nephews, Keithon Shackelford and Collier Cam Miller; aunts, Francis Gholston, Lottie Mays, Johnnie Knight, Annie Johnson (David), Maria Marshall, Linda Haley (Gary), Ann Horton, Laura Watkins; uncles, John Watkins, Jr, P. Orr (Delois), Jerry Orr, Willie Lee Orr, Kenny Orr (Demetrius), Harry Orr (Annie Lois) and Chris Orr; mother-in-law, Jeanette Collier; father-in-law, Michael Garth; one sister-in-law, Dr. Veronica Collier; four brothers-in-law, Michael Bolden (Teairra), Antonio Langford (Dedra), Keivis Watkins (Amanda) and Sedric Thompson (Shonika); niece, Jasmine Downing; a host of loving cousins and extended family and friends.
