C.O. Hollingsworth, 86, Markleville, passed away April 4, 2011, at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana.
He was born November 24, 1924, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in this area for most of his life. C.O. served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from the Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. C.O.attended Faith Church Assembly of God. He enjoyed woodworking and restoring organs. He was also a wonderful storyteller and poet.
He is survived by his wife whom he married on August 30, 1985, Florence Copenhauer Hollingsworth of Markleville; daughters, Melody Norris of California, Zula David Ruckman of Georgia, Trudy Ken Roberts of Colorado, Wendie Paul Denning of West Virginia, and Amy Hollingsworth of Colorado; son, Arthur Grace Hollingsworth of Colorado; step-children, Charles Laurie Barricklow of Florida, Ralph Bonnie Barricklow of Colorado, Andrew Barricklow of Florida, Scott Barricklow of Florida and Eric Alison Barricklow of New Hampshire; sister, Lena Porter of Alexandria; brother, Lee Irene Hollingsworth of Summitville; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Bonnie Beard Hollingsworth; brothers, Arthur, Terrance, and Elowyn Hollingsworth and step-son, Alexander Barricklow.
