Charles Jerry Walker, age 66, beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed away Sunday morning at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. He was well-known for many years as the sole proprietor of Jerry Walker Flooring and enjoyed serving customers in Huntsville and surrounding areas. He was also a drag-racer and racing enthusiast. He cared deeply for his immediate and extended families, as well as his many dear friends and work associates. His most outstanding character qualities were generosity and a strong work ethic.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Clarence Walker, Jr.; mother, Eloise Dean Walker; brother, Jack Gary Walker; brother, Rayburn Walker, and sister-in-law, Linda Vaught Walker (Nonnie).
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Penland Walker; daughter, Shelly Kay Walker Hancock, and husband Lenn; son, Jerry Allen Walker and fiancé Katie Sauder; brother, W.C. Walker; sisters, Betty Walker and Anita Walker, and many precious nieces and nephews on the Walker and Penland sides of the family.
