C. Wallace “Wally” Holmes, 81, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his residence. Born, December 9, 1929 in Monroe County, he was the son of Clyde and Rosamond (Faucett) Holmes. Wally was a fireman in Bloomington for 29 years, retiring as the Assistant Chief. He also enjoyed farming. Survivors include his companion of 34 years, Pat Kimmel, his son, Wallace G. Holmes (Ana L.), his sister, Myra Powell (Bud) all of Bloomington, granddaughters, Eve Fromlak and Aime Randle. Pat’s children, Keith Kimmel of Miami County, IN, Deana Gomez (Mike) of Bloomington, Kent Kimmel (Amy) of Greene County, IN, his niece, Debbie L. Quimby, his nephew, Eric S. Powell (LeeAnna) all of Bloomington, great-grandchildren, Sadie Fromlak, Lydia Fromlak, Guage Fromlak, Allura Feder, Ayden Fromlak, Austin Randle, Justin Randle and Laura Randle. Pat’s grandchildren, Brittni, Mikaila, Sommer, James Dean, Dalton, Jacob, Zachary and her great-grandchild, Halli. Pat’s brother, Robert Patton of Bloomfield, Pat’s sisters, Sharon Kay Dunn of Florida and Sheila Hawkins of Bloomington and several great nieces and nephews.
