MAYSVILLE Charles Hal McEuen, Jr. 92, longtime Maysville businessman passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility.
“Sonny” as known by his many friends was born on March 19, 1925 in Altus, Oklahoma son of the late Charles H. McEuen, Sr. & Josephine Clark McEuen Cunning. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WW II. He married his high school sweetheart, Josephine H. Freeman on August 22, 1946 giving the couple 71 years of marriage. Prior to locating in Maysville he was an automobile dealer in Winchester, KY. He later joined his father in 1954 in Maysville operating McEuen & Son Furniture Store. Perhaps best known, Sonny became a Realtor and home builder as McEuen Homes Inc. along with McEuen Paint Store. Mr.
