Carol Gordon Woodeson, 95, of Ooltewah, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in a local hospital. Mr. Woodeson was born December 15, 1914 in Raleigh North Carolina to the late Reginald & Harriett Woodeson. He attended North Carolina State University from 1931-1935 and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Engineering. After graduation he was with the North Carolina State Highway Commission for 5 years. He was a member of the North Carolina State Alumni and served as President of the Chattanooga Chapter of NCSU Alumni Association. From 1940-1942 he was with the J.B. McCrary Engineering Corporation of Atlanta, Georgia. He was then transferred to Dyersburg, Tennessee in charge of Engineering and development of 2 rural Electrification Projects. During this period he met and married Perrilin Williams. He transferred in 1941 to Columbia, South Carolina in charge of the Columbia office involved with engineering and development of several rural electric projects.
