C.F. Douglas, 89, of Lake City, passed away on Monday morning, December 5, 2022 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. He was born in Horseshoe Beach, FL on July 20, 1933 to the late Christopher Columbus Douglas, Sr. and Harriet Elizabeth Rollison Douglas. He has made Lake City his home since 1965, moving here from the Cross City area. He was a US Air Force veteran, and worked in the banking industry. He served as the President and CEO of 1st National Bank, Lafayette County State Bank and People’s State Bank before retiring in 1999.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jonell Douglas of Lake City; his sons, Dale Douglas (Sherri), Chris Douglas (Kim) and Stephen Douglas (Debbie) all of Lake City; brother, J.R. Douglas (Harriett) of Horseshoe Beach, FL and his sister, Katie Weeks of Crescent Beach, FL. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren & two special bundles of joy on the way.
