HOPPERC. Douglas “Doug” Hopper, age 81, of East Goshen, formerly of Fort Myers, FL, passed on March 23, 2019. He was the husband of the late Donna W. (nee Weber) and father of the late Debra Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Sally (nee Fenner), his son, Gregory S. Hopper (Maria), his brother, Bruce D. Hopper (Dorrie), Sally’s children Sam Bradly (Ann) and Jeanne Bradly; his 7 grandchildren and 2 was born on June 4, 1937 in Upper Darby, PA to Elizabeth (Humes) and Clarence Hopper. He attended Upper Darby HS and graduated from Garden City (NY) High School Doug entered Drexel University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Engineering. He joined IBM as a customer engineer and went on to spend 28 years in various managerial and executive roles, including a time with the Americas/Far East Corporation, where he traveled the world. During his career, he earned his MBA, also from Drexel. After IBM, he spent an active retirement in a variety of roles, including helping ShopSmith expand their retail business, helping friends process Medicare forms, traveling the country in his RVs, golfing, doing woodworking, and being Pop-pop. He loved having his family around him, especially at the holidays.
