Passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the age of 84. Andy was born July 1, 1932 to the late Joseph Kostrzewa and Anna (Budzinski) Kostrzewa. In August 1953, Andy married Kay Krueger, his high school sweetheart. He served in the U.S. Air Force until honorably discharged.
After receiving his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and achieving his CPA license, he worked with Ernst and Young Public Accountants where he retired after 40 years as a Managing Partner.
Andy is survived by his wife of 63 years Kay Kostrevagh; daughters Jan LaFond, Lori (Trevor) Jones, Leigh Anne (Carsten) Beith and Elisabeth Brogan; grandchildren Faye LaFond, Lauren Crilley, Scott (Nicole) Jones, Lindsey (Shawn) Humpert, Ian Jones, Erik (Margaret) Beith, Andrew Beith, and Katie Brogan; 5 great grandchildren; siblings Rita Demko, Joan Neuerburg and Joseph Kostrzewa. Andy was predeceased by a great grandson Grayson, brothers Daniel Kostrzewa, Val Kostrzewa and Raymond Kostrzewa.
As Andy’s four daughters, we are forever grateful for his love of life, wisdom and never-ending support. We will always remember his humor and high spirit, his presence lighting every room he entered. We feel blessed to call this joyous and unselfish man our dad. Dad, we promise to take the high road.
