Byron H Thompson, 89, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home after living a full and wonderful life.

He was born April 4, 1923 in Hansen, Idaho to Gordon Francis and Margaret McFarland Thompson. He married Betty Ann Slater on December 16, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed a devoted and loving marriage, working side by side for 62 years.

Byron was an active member of the Warren Ward and served in various ward and stake positions. He was a life-long dairy farmer and it was on the farm where he taught his nine daughters the value of work. Byron’s favorite pastime was fishing and the family wishes to thank his fishing buddy Lee Tribe for all the memorable fishing trips they shared.

Although a man of few words, his love of the gospel and of his family was ever evident. Surviving are his daughters: Karen (Kimball) Barney, June (Theo) Endrizzi, Joan (Jay) Wood, Gail (Rulon) Passey, Lois (Ron) Parry, Connie (Calvin) Keyes, Laurie (John) Sorensen, Marie (Earl) Davis, Sherri (Robert) Nelson; 41 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Marilyn (Lee) Tribe, brother, Darrel (Anita) Thompson; and sisters-in-law, Dona Thompson and Margee Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, son Wayne, grandson Todd Endrizzi, great-granddaughter, Kamberlie Binks, his parents, 3 brothers, Earl, Lyle, and Grant, and 1 sister, June.
