Roy “Butch” Schwark Jr., 64, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Friday morning,September 23, 2005, at his home. Butch was born September 16, 1941 to Roy and Bertha (Steinborn) Schwark at home in Heston,Indiana. He graduated from Three Oaks High School in 1959.
On May 3,1980, Butch married the former Peggy Murdock in Three Oaks.Butch loved his work and was a Mason for over forty years. With his partner John Kramer, he owned and operated Spring Creek Masonry in Three Oaks for twenty five years.
Butch was a coach for Three Oaks Little League for twelve years and was a loyal River Valley sports fan. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and sportsman. Butch was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Randall Couchman Post #204 Three Oaks; and was a volunteer member of the Three Oaks Fire Department with eighteen years of service.
Butch is survived by his wife Peggy; daughter Tammy (Randy) Dockins, Holland, Michigan; sons Ryan Schwark, Galien and Chad Sheldon, Three Oaks; grandchildren Jake, Jenna, Brent, and Ana; mother, Bertha Balzer, New Buffalo; sisters, Betty (Julian) Becker, Three Oaks, Connie (Paul) Koth, Sawyer, Jan (Tom) Sexton, New Buffalo; brother Donald Balzer, New Buffalo and many nieces and nephews.
