Burton (Burt) C. Cummings, age 77, of Berryville, entered eternal life on February 13, 2012. He was born June 16, 1934 in Berryville, the son of Clyde and Eartle (Stacy) Cummings. He graduated from Berryville High School with the class of 1952. Burt was a veteran of the United States Navy. On April 7, 2000 he was united in marriage to Morene Swofford. He was employed for a number of years at Tysons and later on worked at Saunders Museum in Berryville which he enjoyed very much. He loved the outdoors, playing pool and helping people in need. In his younger years Burt played the guitar in a Country Music Band and he enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel music. Most of all, he loved being with his family. He attended Berryville Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Morene Cummings of the home, his daughter, Tracy Wheeler and husband Mike of Goodman, MO, sons: Craig Matzenbacher and wife Charisse of Oak Grove, Chuck Matzenbacher of Waynesville, MO., grandchildren: Mariah and Alex Wheeler, Jayme Allen, Cheyne Matzenbacher and wife Amber, Curt Matzenbacher and wife Katie, Tifany and Keli Matzenbacher and great-grandchildren, Cole Campbell and Cailie Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tina Cummings, granddaughter, Amy Briley, twin brother, Bill Cummings and brother Clyde Cummings.
