Burt Lawrence Barbre, Sr., an entrepreneur, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 26, 1941 to the late Isaac Barbre and Evelyn Bennett Barbre. He passed away, surrounded by family and loved ones, peacefully on October 5, 2015. He was predeceased by his sister Naomi “Sugar” Barbre Dupré, brother-in-law Landry Dupré, as well as brothers Dave and Isaac Barbre.
He leaves to cherish his memories ex-wife, Patricia B. Barbre, sons Byron (Sonia), Burt Jr. (Teena) and Brian (Hayley) Barbre, sister Joyce Adams (Wilfred), brother Steve (Ann) Barbre, sisters-in-law Loretta Barbre, Gloria Barbre, Barbara Nuckols, Peggie LeDuff, Linda Peters, Joyce Tate, Constance Brumfield and brother-in-law Frank Brooks, III.
He also leaves three granddaughters Danielle Thompson, Ashley and Bridgette Barbre; three grandsons, Kaelen “Nate”, Kendall and Bryce Barbre; one great granddaughter, Taylor Thompson; close friend, Janice Price, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
