Those left to honor Burt’s memory are his wife, Linda of Newton; daughter, Shari (Jeff) Klyn of Newton; his two grandchildren, Alex and Katelin Klyn; five brothers, Dennis (Peggy) Breckenridge of Gilman, Iowa, Gary (Sherry) Breckenridge of Las Cassess, Tennessee, Ron (Karla) Breckenridge of Pella, Iowa, Doug (Debbie) Breckenridge of Dallas, Texas, and Brad (Brenda) Breckenridge of Newton; sister, Dixie (Chuck) Dibble of Independence, Missouri; and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Burt was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Adine F. (Nolin) Breckenridge; and grandson, Michael Klyn.
Burt was a graduate of Newton High School in 1961.
Burt was a member of the Moose Lodge No.
Burt loved his grandchildren and always was at their activities. He was an avid reader of Stephen King novels. He enjoyed NASCAR and Minnesota Vikings.
