Burl Samuel Wilson, age 60 of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was a very active member of Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was an enthusiastic member of the Praise Team and Chancel Choir. Burl Wilson was a kind, jovial, and exuberant man that made everyone feel welcomed to the church. He loved his family, friends, and Auburn football. He was a lover of music and vacations that ended in sunsets at the beach. Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his father, Samuel E. Wilson; sister, Betty Wilson; and brother, Bob Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Jolene Morgan Wilson; daughter, Mary Morgan Wilson; mother, Evelyn C. Wilson; sister, Bea Cotelis (Andy); sister-in-law, June Wilson; and numerous other family members and close friends.
