Grace “Bunny” Jackson
Bunny Jackson, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the New Dawn Memory Care facility in Aurora, Colorado.
She was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on December 21, 1936 to Edward and Gertrude Gilson. She graduated from Ramsey High School, in Ramsey, New Jersey in 1954 and got her B.S. degree in Physical Education at University of New Hampshire in 1958. Immediately after college, Bunny was a Junior High Physical Education teacher for several years in New Jersey.
Bunny was always on the move, recently re-nicknamed the “Energizer Bunny”.
Bunny always enjoyed lending a helping hand, and spent many years volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Downtown Denver.
Bunny was a loving and caring mother and grandmother of 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
Bunny was a loving and devoted wife, married 56 years to Wayne O. Jackson, Johns Manville retiree.
Bunny is survived by her sister Jane (Dave) Pederson, her husband (Wayne) of 56 years, and 3 children: Scott (Lenae), Jeff (Debbie), and Joanna Perez and eight grandchildren: Brad, Dylan, Nicholas, Tyler, Zachary, Jordan, Jasmine and Jackson.
Bunny was preceded in death by her Mother (Gertrude) & Father (Edward) and oldest daughter, Deborah Jane.
