Buenetta Siblerud McCown, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Post Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Acil “Ace” McCown in 1990. She is survived by three daughters: Connie Hensley and husband Jack of Kalispell; Diane McGwier and husband Robert of Post Falls, ID; and Paula (Robinson) Little and husband Jeff of Kalispell; a brother: Don Siblerud and wife Jo of Kalispell; 11 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Buenetta was born in Hartland, Minnesota the fifth of seven children born to Martin and Emelia (Iverson) Siblerud. She moved with her family to Kalispell when she was three years old. The family purchased a homestead in Egan where Buenetta spent her childhood. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church all her life and she was very active in many of its organizations. She loved her bible study groups and attended Bible Study Fellowship for many years. Buenetta was a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary and a Girl Scout leader. She worked in fashion and merchandising for many years and really loved the clothing business and always looked like she stepped out of a fashion magazine. She also was involved Republican Women; Daughters of the Nile, Lady Elks, Bridge Club, and loved her Swan Lake Cabin, hiking, gardening and golfing with family and friends. She loved her children and grandchildren and was in her glory when she was helping to take care of them. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and we will miss her forever.
Buenetta was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Gary Robinson, a grandson: Michael Acil McGwier ; her parents, four brothers, and one sister and their spouses.
