Buck Milton Burns of Belton, TX passed away at his home on Thursday, August 14th at the age of 81. Buck was born on December 22, 1932 in Hale Center, TX to Edward Patrick Burns and Ines Myrtle Boulier Burns. Buck served in the Navy as a Radioman 2nd Class on the USS Essex during the Korean War. After serving his country, Buck returned to TX to build his life as a farmer and rancher in Plainview, TX.
This is where he met and married his wife of 44 years, Margurea Bay Shepard Burns. They moved to Belton, TX where Buck began his career in Real Estate as an Agent/Broker. Buck, a member of The Belton Church of Christ since 1976, retired in Belton, TX and continued to be a member of the church and community he loved. Buck was preceded in death by his wife, Margurea Bay Shepard Burns, his sisters, Patsy Jean Burns, and Jerry Dean Schenk, his brothers, Clarence Alex’ Burns, William Bill’ Burns, and Edward Junior’ Burns, his daughter, Donna Beth Shepard Sanford, and his grandson, Micah Theron Shepard.
Buck is survived by his sister, Lee Ann Mims of Buffalo, TX, his children, Bob Shepard and his wife Linda of Canyon, TX, Joel Shepard and his wife Phyllis of Telephone, TX, Laurel Shepard of Mesquite, TX, Milton Burns and his wife Patty of Belton, TX, Mary Burns Stiles of Lake Elsinore, CA, Kathy Shepard Nichols and her husband Rob of New Braunsfels, TX, Bobby Burns Calvin and her husband Jeff of Temecula, CA, Michael Burns and his wife Jennipher of Yukon, OK, and his son Eddie and his wife Trish of Yukon, OK. 22 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
