Buck Little Singer left this world to return to the Great Spirit, our Creator, on Friday, Feb 25, 2011. He was born June 8, 1991, in Flagstaff, Arizona to Monty A. Singer and Pattie Whitehat Singer. He was of the Reed clan and born to the Honeycomb clan. His maternal grandfathers are of the Salt clan and his paternal grandfathers are of the Red Bottom clan. He battled heart disease for 7 months
Buck graduated from Coconino High School Class of 2009. He attended Dzil libel elementary, Cromer Elementary, and Mount Elden Middle School.
His joy in life was football – he lived, ate, and slept football. He could tell you the statistics of any team and any player. His favorite pro teams were the Colts and the Cardinals. He also played football at Coconino High School. Go Panthers!! He was known for encouraging his fellow teammates, friends, and brothers. He is often heard saying, “Look at me, I may not run very fast but I played football, if I can do it you can. Never say you can’t, take that word can’t out of your vocabulary.” He enjoyed coaching the Flagstaff Cardinals of the Flagstaff Youth Football League. What he loved the most is knowing his younger brothers played football also and that he taught them all his inside tricks.
He worked at Cedar Safeway during his high school years and then he moved over to working at Wal-Mart at Woodlands Village. He thoroughly enjoyed working with his co-workers who all said what a responsible person he was and a joy to have around. Whether it was co-workers, family, or friends, Buck touched many lives in his young life and the world is better for the impact he made and the light of hope he left with us.
He is survived by his parents, Monty A. Singer and Pattie Whitehat Singer, his sister, and two young brothers.
