Bryce Wayne Vilchuck, 67, passed away Saturday February 15, 2020. He was born May 28, 1952 to Myron John Vilchuck and Lorraine Scheffler Evans. Bryce graduated from Wiley High School in 1970. He also graduated from Indiana State University; where he was an outstanding pole vaulter. He retired from the Iron Workers Local 22. Bryce had been through a lot in his life. He was a simple man who just wanted to live his life to the fullest. Bryce was an avid collector; he collected antiques, arrowheads, rocks, and so much more. He was adventurous, and loved boating. He was very funny and was somewhat of a jokester. During his time at ISU, he made the NCAA Men’s Outdoor All Time Performance list for pole vaulting. Bryce loved horses, and loved being a father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John Vilchuck and Bruce Vilchuck. He is survived by his wife, Debra Abrell Vilchuck, a son, Bryce Vilchuck (Annie), daughter, Ashley Vilchuck, sisters; Laura Shepard (Randy), Judy Pastorious, Michelle Vilchuck, and Debbie Barton (John), grandchildren; Bryce, Brylin, Aareus, Geno, and Kiley, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
