Bryant Lynn Bench, 60, made his way back home to his Father in Heaven on November 16, 2015, in Boise, Idaho after a 10 month battle with cancer. He was born on April 30, 1955 to George Worth Bench and Margaret Erma Brinton. Growing up on a dairy farm taught him hard work, how to do a job well, and provided the perfect backdrop for “little boy stories” to his children and grandchildren.

In his growing up years he participated in baseball, football, band, and student government. He was voted “Most Preferred Man” in high school. He still gets a kick out of that. He served an LDS mission in Hong Kong, where he loved the people and the culture. Bryant married the lovely Cathy Ann Staker in the Manti Utah Temple and was blessed with 6 children.

He always loved a good barbecue and game of P.I.G. in the backyard.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy and children, Jeff and Jessica Bench, Stacy and Brandon Miner, Amy and Tony Carpenter, Danny and April Bench, Ryan and Lisa Bench, and Jayson Bench. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, G. Worth and Margaret Bench; in-laws, J. Vern and Eva Staker; brother in law, Allan Hansen; niece, Dixie Bench; and nephew, Douglas Bench.

We send our overwhelming gratitude to all the Doctors and Nurses at St. Luke’s MSTI and Home Hospice. Bryant loved you all.
