Bryan Gallace, age 21 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday in Boston where he was attending college. He is the beloved son of Robert and Stacy Gallace also of Fairfield. A 2014 graduate of Ludlow High and the Regional Center for the Arts, Bryan was a senior at Berklee Music College where he was pursuing a BA in Professional Music. He was a sensitive caring soul with the warmest smile and a contagious laugh.
A gift of a mini strat guitar and pint-sized amp one Christmas from his beloved Aunt Maureen sparked his creative journey. A talented and dedicated musician, he began lessons at just 6 years old with Billy Bileca – a patient and amazing teacher who helped Bryan realize his passion for playing guitar. He first got to perform at the Fairfield School of Rock in 2013 and then went on to play in several local bands including If Looks Could Kill, Fistfight and Shark Rock.
A self-taught drummer, Bryan’s 2015-2016 stint drumming for Heavy Breath brought him so much joy. He loved Boston and his great circle of friends and his two whippets Oliver and Stella. Bryan loved family more than anything. In addition to his parents he is survived by his grandparents Margaret Gallace of Trumbull, Augustus Gallace of Stamford and Buddy and Barbara Wainhause of Norwalk, aunts and uncles Maureen Gallace and Jason Tomme of NY, NY, Barry and Sasha Gallace of Austin Texas, John and Terry Gallace of Stratford, Jeff Wainhause and Jane Yoon of Montvale, NJ and Jeff and Sandy Camp of Peoria, IL, cousins Lauren, Samantha and Rebecca; and his girlfriend Gerrica Dunning of Allston, MA.
