Bryan Edward Wilson, 59, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022.
Born in Morganton, NC, Bryan was the husband of Melodee Baker Wilson and the son of the late James Edward Wilson and Louise Teague Wilson, who survives. In addition to his wife, Melodee, of the home, Bryan is survived by his daughter, Chelsey W. Stewart, her husband, Lee, of Walnut Cove; four sons, Jeremy Murray, and his wife, Rebecca, of Randleman, Justen Murray, and his wife, Kara, of Midland, NC, Hayden Wilson and Tanner Wilson, both of Burlington; two grandchildren, twins, Cullen and Layla Murray; his mother, Louise Teague Wilson; his paternal grandmother, Ruby Wood of Morganton, NC and a brother, Jon Wilson of Clemmons.
Bryan was the owner and operator of Ye Old Country Kitchen and Millstone Catering of Snow Camp and more recently Eli’s Kitchen of Eli Whitney.
Bryan was a long time member of Cane Creek Friends Meeting. He was a 1981 graduate of Southern Alamance High School and a 1985 graduate of Guilford College. During his 4 years at Guilford College, he was the kicker on the football team and become a recorded ministry of the Society of Friends (Quakers). Bryan was inducted in the Southern Alamance Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014. Over the years, Bryan was associated with many organizations in the community: Snow Camp Outdoor Theatre, Sylvan Athletics Association, Southern Alamance Athletics Boosters, Alamance County Recreation department, and Snow Camp Colts Youth Football to name a few.
Bryan was a family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and future grandson due in September. He had passion for his community and knew the importance of supporting community. He loved his customers and enjoyed the many conversations he had with each of them. He was a mentor to many and was always willing to lend an ear. Bryan had a passion for sports, history, farming, and antiquing. He was an avid collector of John Deere and Coca-Cola memorabilia. Bryan had a loving and giving heart.
The family will hold a service to celebrate Bryan’s life at The Lambs Chapel Church on 3539 Alamance Road, Burlington, NC 27215 on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 12 PM.
