AVON / TORRINGTON Mr. Bruno Etalo Bagnaschi, beloved husband of 61 years to Carla (Auletta) Bagnaschi, died Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born in Torrington, Connecticut on December 27, 1935. He is predeceased by his parents, Josephine O. and Bruno J. Bagnaschi, his son, Vincent J. Bagnaschi, and his brother, Louis J. Bagnaschi. Bruno was a humble man, faithful and devout. He never spoke ill of anyone, and was respectful to all. As a consequence he was beloved to his family, many friends and work associates. He was a graduate of Boston College and Trinity College. He was a devoted and diligent long time employee of Torrington Company, a trusted advisor to many, and in retirement a volunteer for SCORE. He was an avid reader, historian, and board member of the Torrington Historical Society. He participated in the first Litchfield Hills Road Race in 1977 and many years to follow. He ran in that road race with his daughter Anita for 7 years. He was often seen making his daily run in the hills of Litchfield County. Bruno will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind the love of his life, Carla, his devoted daughters and sons-in law, Donna Marie Onacki (Thomas), Anita Barbero (Peter), and son Stephen, and his grandchildren; Thomas and Natalie Onacki, Briana Bagnaschi, Jared, Brooke and Josh Barbero, and Ryan Bagnaschi; and great grandson, Jaxon Barbero. He also leaves his sister, Clarissa Rentz (John) and sister-in-law Gail Delisle (Roger), and several nieces and nephews. His many devoted cousins and his aunt mourn his passing. He leaves behind many life- long friends. Friends may call on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Parish, formerly Immaculate Conception, 3 Church Street North, New Hartford from 4 – 6 PM.
