Bruce W. DiBartolo, 61, of Ocala FL, formerly of Franklin, NH, passed away Monday (May 22, 2017) unexpectedly at his residence.  Bruce was born September 20, 1955 in Newport, NC to the late Anthony V. DiBartolo and Elizabeth G. (Marshburn) Merwin.

Bruce was a Registered Certified Nurses Aide for 42 years, working at Palm Garden in Ocala for the past 12 years and for 30 years prior at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in New Hampshire.   Bruce graduated high school in 1974 from Franklin High School and was a past member of the Sanbornton, NH Fire Department.  Bruce is survived by his brothers, David DiBartolo and Mike Merwin; a sister, Lynne (Merwin) Caldwell; and his stepfather, Frank Merwin.   Bruce also leaves behind his stepson, Jeremy Smart and Jeremy’s mother – his friend and former spouse, Sharon Smart; his nieces, Jennifer, TJ, Melissa and Kristin and nephews, Waylon, and Justin and their families, as well as numerous grand nieces and nephews, and his friend, Cheryl Betts.

Along with enjoying his three dachshunds, Bridgett, Bentley and Bailey, Bruce was an enthusiastic spectator of NHRA drag racing, following the career of John Force and his racing daughters.

While Bruce lived and worked in Ocala, his heart always truly resided with his family in New Hampshire and Connecticut.  He will be remembered as a spontaneous, fun, loving man, with a way that was uniquely “Brucie”.

Bruce, Uncle “B” and Uncle Argyle, is and will always be, deeply loved and missed by all.
