Bruce Wayne Davis, 59, of rural Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his residence.
He was born July 26, 1949 in Cairo, IL; the son of Charles Burnett and Ruby Nell Emerton Davis.
He is survived by a daughter, Darla Dyanne King of Crows Landing, CA; a son, Wayne Morris Harbour of Huntington Beach, CA; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Admire of Jacksonville, Dixie DeRousse of Bardwell, KY, Goldie Hart and Pam Pollard of Arlington, KY, and Barb Moudy of Meredosia; six brothers. James Davis and Billie Davis of Jacksonville, Arlin Davis, Rickey Davis, and Roy Davis of Arlington, KY, and Wendell Davis of Franfort, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeremy Wayne Davis; and three sisters, Helen Davis, Cathy Davis, and Charley Nell Williams.
Mr. Davis served with the US Army during the Vietnam War and returned to the Jacksonville area where he was employed for several years prior to his disability. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bardwell, KY VFW Post.
