Brother Eugene J. Normandin, S.C., (Brother Marie-Edmond) age 88, of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Provincial House, Pascoag, RI, died November 13, 2005 at Mt. St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland, RI. Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Loetus Normandin and Clara (Ducharme) Normandin. Brother Eugene graduated from Mt. St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket, RI, in 1935. He entered the Brothers of the Sacred Heart at Granby, Quebec, Canada, in 1935, where he pronounced his first vows on August 15, 1937. Brother Eugene pronounced his final vows in 1943, at Ecole Roussin, Montreal, Quebec. Brother Eugene completed a Teaching Certificate from the Quebec Education Department in 1936 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Montreal in 1950. Brother Eugene participated in the Spiritual Renewal Session at Ecole Roussin in Montreal, Quebec, in 1943.
