Britney Lee Ruhl, 23, of Griswold, Iowa, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Britney Lee Ruhl was born on October 3, 1984, in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of Gary and Zoe (Miller) Ruhl.
She had lived in the Griswold area her entire life and graduated from Griswold High School in 2003. Following high school she worked as a CNA at the Griswold Care Center. During her one year there she touched many lives.

Britney was currently employed at Henningsen Construction and had been with the company for three years. As many people know she was a HARD worker! While at Henningsen’s she was no girly girl, as beautiful as she was inside and out, she was not afraid of getting her hands dirty. Her sister, Misty, used to laugh at her when Britney would call all excited to say “she was having a good day today – she got to run the roller.”

Britney was a kindred spirit who loved life, her friends, and most of all her family. She could light up a room with her smile and contagious laugh. Britney made friends very easily and could laugh and joke with anyone. To know her was to love her, and we are all so blessed that she was in our lives.

Britney loved animals, especially her dog, Wizzy, who would greet her at the door happily no matter what time she was coming home. She loved traveling and recently had her first big trip to Texas. Britney loved Texas, with the ocean and the heat, so much that she wanted to move there.

Britney loved the outdoors. She liked to fish, but NOT in tall grass because she loathed ticks! Britney enjoyed repelling with her love, Jesse, and “gravel traveling” on a beautiful day.

Those carrying her memory and holding her in their hearts forever are her parents, Gary and Zoe Ruhl of Griswold; her sister, Misty Pelzer and her husband, Nick of Atlantic, Iowa; her soulmate, Jesse Lindeman of Atlantic, Iowa; her grandparents, Max and Dorothy Miller of Griswold, Iowa; her nieces, Shelby and Jenna Pelzer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friend.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Nadine Ruhl; and grandma, Jo Miller.
