Brigitte Vera Klitzing nee Grossbach, 78, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Brigitte was born on February 22, 1941, in Berlin, Germany.
She had lived in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States at different times in her life which encouraged her love for traveling. While living in North Carolina, she was very involved in her church. Brigitte was a very accomplished painter, who was self-taught. She was a very loving mother and grandmother that found joy in buying gifts for her grandchildren. Brigitte’s greatest love was spending time playing with her grandchildren.
Brigitte was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Edith (nee Farchmin) Grossbach, and her brother, Peter (Evelyn) Grossbach.
Surviving are her children, Stefan (Donna) Longo of Utah and Patricia (John) Prunty of O’Fallon, IL; grandchildren, Robert Longo, Karen Longo, Emma Prunty, Joseph Prunty, Michael Prunty, and Thomas Prunty; and great-grandchildren, Alic Longo, and Ayden Joebges.
