Indianapolis B Brigadier Rodney B. Sharp, 89, Indianapolis, died August 29, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis after a brief illness. He was born October 9, 1918, in Duluth, Minnesota, and resided in Indianapolis, Indiana since 1987.

He is retired from the Salvation Army as a Career Officer and an Ordained Minister He was a member of the Kiwanas, Rotary Club, and Lions Club. He was a graduate of The Salvation Army College For Officers Training in Chicago. Serving 36 years with his spouse as officers in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Michigan and retiring in 1974. He is survived by his daughter; Linda Sharp of Indianapolis. Sisters-in-law; Marguerite Farmer of Middletown and Ulla B. Rose of Florida. Nieces; Sally’s husband, Dan Stinedurf, Patricia Rose, and Carol’s husband, Les Jorgensen all of Michigan. Numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his spouse; Brigadier Mary Louise Sharp. Parents; Sr. Major Agnes L. Neilson and Bernhard A. Sharp and a brother; A. Bramwell Sharp.
